Go Fall Camping at Allegany State Park
Allegany State Park is the largest state park in New York State, boasting more than 65,000 acres and 18 hiking trails...
Campsites avalailable May through late November; cabins available year round.
With one of the longer camping seasons in Upstate New York, Allegany State Park extends camping into one of the best times of the year for camping - autumn. What makes fall camping so great? Less bugs, for one thing! And while fall camping does bring less daylight and dewey, damp mornings, making it a little challenging for tent camping, it also offers dazzling fall foliage and a good reason for a cozy campfire all day long in the crisp, refreshing air.
The park features campsites and 144 cabins, 128 of them winterized and available year round.
Allegany State Park is the largest state park in New York State, boasting more than 65,000 acres and 18 hiking trails, three of which have been developed as self-guided nature trails. There are also paved biking trails – bring your own or rent one from the park. And with more than 200 species of birds in the park, including bald eagles and osprey, autumn bird watching here is like hitting the aviary jackpot!
Family pets are allowed on leashes and with proof of rabies vaccination.
