Aug. 11-22, 2024: Surrounded by the breathtaking Adirondack Mountains and the shoreline of beautiful Lake George itself, the Lake George Music Festival wants to reinvent the meaning of the phrase cultural destination.

Every August, top-notch classical and "new music" performers and composers from around the world descend upon the region for two weeks, sharing the fruits of their talent and hard work through traditional and experimental concerts, open rehearsals, public receptions, and informational talks—all held at an inviting and ever evolving range of venues throughout the community.

The festival’s programs range from solo piano and chamber music to large orchestral works and include fresh
interpretations of the classics, pieces by 20th-century experimentalists such as Xenaskis and Reich and performances of contemporary works, many written by the festival’s own composers-in-residence.
