Walkway over the Hudson

The unprecedented Walkway Over the Hudson is the longest elevated pedestrian/biking bridge in the world!


At 1.28 miles across and 212 feet high, the bridge offers sweeping views of the Hudson Valley and river below.


The bridge is free for pedestrians, hikers, joggers, bicyclists, and people with disabilities and pets can also join in the fun walk across, just please keep them leashed.
 

Open seasonally from 7 a.m. until sunset, this amazing linear park spans the Hudson River between the Town of Lloyd in Ulster County and the City of Poughkeepsie in Dutchess County. It is also host to a variety of special events.
 

The park also offers a 21-story, ADA handicapped-accessible glass-enclosed elevator connecting the Hudson River waterfront and Poughkeepsie Train Station to the Walkway. (Open seasonally from 9 a.m. until 90 minutes before park closing)
