Share time with family and friends while exploring a unique corn maze located on the shores of Lake Champlain at Fort Ticonderoga. Getting lost in this life-size puzzle is part of the fun as you look for history clues among towering stalks of corn! Find clues connected to our story as you make your way through the maze! The Heroic Corn Maze is included in Fort Ticonderoga admission! The Heroic Maze is designed to be challenging but still allows visitors to exit quickly if needed. The maze is divided into two phases so you can customize your experience!

Fort Ticonderoga is proud of its agricultural history with gardens dating to 1756. Today, the formal display King’s Garden, educational Discovery Gardens, apple orchards, and farmland including the Heroic Corn Maze, highlights our commitment to sustainable modern farming practices.

Slosek’s presentation, “The Oswego Market House, Old City Hall: Past, Present, and Future” features an illustrated PowerPoint program that delves into the history of one of the Port City’s most illustrious buildings. proposed re-development plans for the structure.

Fort Ontario State Historic Site hosts “Law and Disorder” lantern tours Thursdays, Oct. 5 and 12. Each event begins at 7 p.m. inside the old stone fort located at 1 E. Fourth St. in Oswego. The tours feature costumed interpreters who lead participants in an exploration of the chaotic events in Fort Ontario’s history in the hope of uncovering why so many spirits seem to linger there.

Tickets for the tours are $20 and can be pre-purchased in the museum gift shop or by calling the fort at 315-343-4711 during regular business hours. Tickets at the gate will be offered first come, first serve until the tour is at capacity. Tours take place outdoors, rain or shine, after dark and may include up to a mile of walking, so participants are asked to dress accordingly. Children aged under 8 years are not permitted and parental discretion is advised for all others.

Along with gorgeous fall foliage and spectacular photo ops, this two-day FREE event features homemade and hand-crafted items on display and for sale. Items featured in the series may include food items, photography, paintings, pottery, jewelry, soaps, wood products, paper and fabric crafts, wine & spirits, and more! There will be live performances both days of take along one of our scavenger hunt game cards or participate in a fun hiking challenge. While you’re there, plan to enjoy a relaxing scenic skyride, head off on a hiking excursion, tackle the mountain's challenging downhill biking terrain, or throw a round of disc golf under a cool canopy of hardwoods.

circumstances surrounding his disappearance.

Steve McMahon leads the presentation and discussion on the unsolved disappearance, including the discovery of the missing man’s suitcase and the revelations that unfolded as a result. The mysterious findings include a potential link to the attempted murder of the missing man’s boss, who was a millionaire horse breeder.

The Walktoberfest Farmers and Makers Market brings a curated selection of the Hudson Valley’s finest producers - farms, distilleries, breweries, wineries, restaurants, artists, artisans, and more - to the Hudson Valley Rail Trail and west approach to Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park. With more than 120 vendors located throughout the Hudson Valley Rail Trail and the Walkway’s Ulster Welcome Center Plaza, Walktoberfest features not only farm-fresh products, food from local restaurants, and beer, wine, and spirits samples in a designated tasting area, but also art installations, locally made goods, a special area for children’s activities, and more. All proceeds from Walktoberfest benefit the Friends of the Walkway and Hudson Valley Rail Trail, who have partnered to present this farmers market.

Tasting tickets are available now for $25 and include full access to wine, beer, spirits, and cider samples from more than 20 area purveyors. Walkway members, veterans, active-duty military, and senior citizens (65+) receive discounted admission. General admission to Walktoberfest (excluding the tasting area) is free. Children do not need a ticket to enter the tasting area when accompanied by an adult.
