The weather is cooling down, and the days are getting shorter, so it is prime time for some cozy comfort food and dining out. The Great Western Catskills in Delaware County is home to many fantastic dining options. From a farm-to-table pre-fixe dinner at Brushland Eating House to a fan favorite meatloaf panini (made with local grass-fed beef, of course) at Blue Bee Cafe, and even Catskill Momos with momo’s “just as good as Jackson Heights,” Delaware County is loaded with culinary attractions that receive rave reviews.

The Andes Hotel is a restaurant and stay that offers a full menu and bar in a building with history and rural charm in Andes, NY. They offer belly-filling bar food and light and delicious flatbreads with an array of other menu options. While in Andes, visit Wayside Cider. Their unique hard ciders made with heritage apples pair well with the fresh and locally sourced items coming from their kitchen.

In the next town over, visit the Hamden General Store. It is a modernized general store stocked with pantry items, locally made goods and produce, and tucked in the back, a little cafe offering delicious sandwiches by Antonio Mora. He elevates the classics with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. While in Hamden, enjoy dinner at the Hamden Inn, with delicious drinks and a great atmosphere.
