Summer is a great time of year to go ‘festing' in Upstate New York ! From the Taste of Syracuse Festival in early June to the NY State Fair in late August, we invite you to join in the fun. You'll find a variety of cool Events jam-packed with music, artisans, great regional food, wine tasting and entertainment for the entire family.
The Erie Canal Corridor is home to the Great New York State Fair, featuring a huge midway, great food and attractions and national acts and entertainment. Easy to get to from any direction, Syracuse’s New York State Fairgrounds is also host to hundreds of events and festivals throughout the year, drawing an estimated one million people to its incredible variety of non-fair attractions.
Check out the many cool concerts throughout the region, including the Syracuse Jazz Fest, the Tug Hill Bluegrass Festival in the Adirondacks or Rochester’s International Jazz Festival. For a truly unique experience, stop by the New York State Woodsman Field Days. Nestled in a picturesque town in the Adirondacks, this festival spotlights the amazing artistry of wood carving and exciting lumberjack competitions featuring competitors from as far away as Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
Taste of Syracuse Festival

Syracuse’s biggest food festival, this free event features bands and $1 food samples from the area's top restaurants. The weekend includes live music, activities for kids and Paige's Butterfly Run. The event will also host a qualifying round of the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest.
